Dior has confirmed the appointment of Maria Grazia Chiuri, former Valentino co-creative director, as the brand’s new artistic director, her becoming the first female leader at the French fashion house. She succeeds Raf Simons, who held the position for the past three and a half years.
Maria Grazia’s first collection with the luxury brand will be Spring 2017 ready-to-wear, which is set to show on September 30th, while her first couture collection with Dior will be in January next year, kicking off the brand’s 70th anniversary. Looking forward to it!
