Oscar’s equivalent for TV, the Emmy Awards were held for the 70th time this year on September 17th at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Among the winners were Matthew Rhys for The Americans, Peter Dinklage for Game of Thrones, Claire Foy for The Crown and Thandie Newton for Westworld. But I’m not here to talk about their performances! Instead of doing that, lets have a look at the best red carpet looks this year!
There seem to be a lot of masculine outfits among the ladies’ choices like the power suit or several two-piece ensembles with trousers, but this doesn’t mean that they’ve lost their femininity, on the contrary. Masculine meets feminine is always a good idea. This year the fairytale-like Cinderella evening gowns seem to have been replaced by sleeker silhouettes and eye-catching asymmetrical cuts in several vibrant colors.
