The Green Carpet Fashion Awards were founded on the basis of sustainable values and are aimed to honour ‘Made in Italy’, one of the most important supply chains in the world. The event celebrates sustainable innovation and the work that is being done in the fashion houses’ supply chains to preserve sustainable production.
The Award Ceremony was held at the Teatro Alla Scala in Milan, as a spectacular closing event of Milan Fashion Week last week. The awards handed out in different categories were designed to “celebrate the values and commitment of a network of designers, producers and manufacturers that make up the very best of brands Made in Italy”.
Several world famous fashion designers were among the winners, but most importantly we could witness a very rare moment: 4 iconic Italian designers standing on the same stage – Giorgio Armani (Armani), Miuccia Prada (Prada), Pierpaolo Piccioli (Valentino) and Alessandro Michele (Gucci). They stood together to receive The Recognition of Sustainability Award. Well deserved!
